Meets all my needs and works smooth. It's so little I can leave it always plugged in my laptop, and does not get in the way.
The low score is based upon the flashing LED light in the unit. This item works great as a bluetooth radio. It blinks constantly whether in use or not. However, Windows 7 did not recognize it right away and I had to use the included cd to install drivers. This is not a failure of the radio so much, but is the first time I have run into this on 4 machines with Windows 7 and many peripherals. I purchased this small unit so I could leave it in my laptop 24/7, and now have to take it out when not in use as the blinking is very irritating. Buy one without a light.
I'm very happy with device. I had to download the driver needed to set this device working on my Vista and XP systems, but once I took care of that, it works great. Can't really comment on the range because I only use this with my desktap when I'm sitting at my desk and my laptop when it' son my lap.
Will not work with XP SP-2, tried everything to no avail. Google the problems with Bluetooth adapters.
I purchased this USB dongle and plugged it into the front of my computer. I am using headphones within 3 feet of the computer. Amazingly, the audio cuts out. I am guessing that the signal from this little dongle is easily overpowered by EMI as the cutouts seem related to computer activity.
